Quarter Four: the final one!

It is incredibly difficult to wrap my head around the fact that this is my last quarter of high school and my last quarter as a member of the Pilot Program. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to best wrap up the year in Pilot in a way that is focused on my current projects, but also celebrates all of the work I've done here in this program. Closure can be hard, but reflection is important.
~ I can say with absolute confidence that the skills I've learned during my time here will carry with me into my time at Oberlin College, and into my life beyond school. I am incredibly grateful for everyone in this community who has taken the time in their lives to help me work towards my goals. |
At the start of quarter four, I was struck by how little time was actually left! I decided to make myself an organized schedule so I could be sure to stay on top of all my work:
I also made a cohesive list of everything I wanted to get done by the end of the year! All of these projects are written out below and act as a guide for me as I finish up the year:

PSYCH:
ITALIAN:
ART:
- Finish the object book (will be all typed by the end of the week, binding next week)
- Meet with Zach to discuss final project
- Research the psychology behind why people engage in bigotry and hate (this is the direction I want my study to go in the last quarter)
ITALIAN:
- Meet with Annie each week (3 weeks remaining)
- (Record one of our conversations)
- Write my final essay in Italian
- Continue doing Lingua, and Babel
ART:
- Get ready for the big solo art show! whoop whoop!
- Continue to create consistently and document!
- Meet with Camille: doing small projects and prepping for the art show [artist statement/posters/cards etc.] (we only have two weeks left working together! crazy!!)
